About

I make the games I want to play.

I am Efe, a solo developer. I play sandbox, tycoon and strategy games, and I make the same kind: systems that interact, details that hold up. I have lost count of the games where I caught myself wishing somebody cared more about the mechanics, about things behaving believably. I am making the ones I kept wishing existed.

Games are not the only thing I build.

For a long time I have been building and running software for other people: SaaS products, websites and web applications, and the cloud infrastructure they run on. I run my own servers the same way, this site included, on Linux with Docker and Nginx, and for more than five years I have run community game servers with over 500 players online at the same time. Writing the code is half of it. The other half is deploying it, watching it and fixing it when something breaks. Caria Core is the name on both: the games, and the software work.

How I work

  1. 01

    In the open

Updates, decisions and mistakes go into the devlog, not into a drawer.

  2. 02

    One person, start to finish

The person you talk to is the person who designs, writes, deploys and fixes it.

  3. 03

    Measured, not promised

I would rather give you a number than an adjective.
